I was told that for years, the words "Mussolini Dux" -- "Mussolini Leader," the phrase used for the new "emperor" -- on the large mural on the wall of a fascist-era building in the Piazza Augusto Imperatore had been covered over, but that, all of a sudden, with no public discussion, it had been revealed again.
