Liguria bound

Given that part of my purpose of being at the Academy is to visit the works of Carlo Scarpa, which are almost exclusively in Venice and the Veneto region, I decided to get a small poster of the map of Venice featured in the gallery of maps in the Vatican Museums.

When I unrolled the poster back in my studio, it was......a map of Liguria.  Fortunately, my brother-in-law, Elliot Weinbaum, had just emailed with a proposal that he comes to travel with me in March, we should follow Venice with a drive to Cinque Terra, along the Ligurian coast.  So, up on the wall goes the map.
