I spent much of Friday and Saturday desperately trying to stay in contact with the Massachusetts Teachers Association Annual Meeting and the vote for president of the MTA. Amazingly, impressively, wonderfully, the candidate of Educators for a Democratic Union, Barbara Madeloni, beat the sitting vice president, Timothy Sullivan. It is an exciting day for people in EDU, which was formed a little less than two years ago, and it is an exciting day for the MTA. I was thrilled to be a part of the campaign.
Here's Barbara with unstoppable campaign manager (he was my campaign manager for Executive Committee of the MTA a few years ago), Dan Clawson, right after the vote.
